Finding the Words

October 24, 2008 | | 1 Comment

Had a great class on recognizing and dealing with resistance this past week. Pam and Megan took us through Block’s steps to recognizing, naming and countering resistance. I thought remembering the names was tough and sometimes I still find it difficult to fit the situation into the proper category. Then it really got interesting. Coming up with the right words to address the resistance authentically was tough but trying was a great experience. I loved it! I’d love some kind of activity (an online learning object perhaps) where we could watch several scenarios showing resistance, name it and have to type in an appropriate response.

First off…the class you are in right now with Dr. Carter is GREAT and we had some good discussions last year regarding resistance! Also, I just saw your comment on my site regarding the job fair…where is it located and what is it specifically for? Feel free to email me: kscearce@ecpi.edu
